As the water level amplitude between the reservoir dead water level and normal water level of Jinping I Hydropower Station is up to 80m, moreover, the project area features steep banks, frequent geological disasters, complex meteorological conditions and strong wind in dry season, the traditional debris intercepting structures cannot meet the demand of the power plant operation. According to the actual situation of the project site, the research on self-lifting debris intercepting technique with guiding grove fixed on slope is conducted. The operation principle and equipment installation of the new debris intercepting structure are introduced. The operation results show that the use of the slope-type connecting device for self-lifting debris intercepting structure and the wind-proof floating tank to avoid capsizing and sinking can effectively guarantee the stability and safety of the debris intercepting structure.
